Connecting Return Helper to Claude

This guide walks you through adding the Return Helper MCP connector to Claude, so you can look up return requests, warehouse inventory, and shipment status directly in your Claude conversations.

Server URL: https://mcp-user.returnhelpercentre.com/mcp

Authentication: Your Return Helper account username and password. Each user signs in with their own credentials — no shared API key or client secret is required.

For Individual Users (Pro / Max Plans)

  1. Open Connectors settings Go to claude.ai and navigate to Settings > Connectors.

  2. Add a custom connector Click Add custom connector at the bottom of the Connectors section.

  3. Enter the connector details

    Leave the Advanced Settings (OAuth Client ID / Client Secret) blank.

  4. Connect and sign in Click Add, then Connect. A Return Helper sign-in page will open — log in with your Return Helper username and password and approve access.

  5. Enable the connector in a chat Open the tools menu (+) in a chat and make sure Return Helper is toggled on. You can then ask Claude things like:

    "Look up the status of return request RH-XXXXX." "Search warehouse inventory for [item/SKU]."

For Team / Enterprise Plans

An organization Owner must add the connector first; members then connect their own accounts.

Owner setup:

  1. Go to Organization Settings > Connectors.

  2. Click Add, then Custom. If prompted for a connector type, choose Web.

  3. Enter the connector details:

  4. Click Add.

Member setup:

  1. Go to Settings > Connectors.

  2. Find Return Helper in the list (marked with a "Custom" label).

  3. Click Connect — you'll be redirected to the Return Helper sign-in page.

  4. Log in with your own Return Helper username and password to authorize access.

Testing the Connection

Once connected, ask Claude:

"What tools are available from Return Helper?"

Claude should list tools for looking up return requests, searching warehouse inventory, checking shipment status, and related account data.

Troubleshooting

Connector not visible to team membersConfirm an organization Owner has added it under Organization Settings first

Security Note

Custom connectors let Claude access data in your Return Helper account. Only connect accounts you're authorized to use, and review what data Claude can access before enabling the connector in shared or sensitive conversations.
